Where is The Beach Mall?
On Watamu's main tourist street, at the corner of the road down to Sunset Beach. It is the only mall on Watamu's busiest walking street.
What is inside the mall?
Shops around a small pedestrian square on the lower level, two restaurant spaces with covered and canopied terraces on the first floor, and A&R Reset Studio, a two-storey gym with its own building.
When are the shops open?
Each business sets its own opening hours. You will find them, with an "Open now" sign, on each shop's page.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is an outdoor car park opposite the gym.
Is the mall safe?
The mall has security day and night, and the square and common areas are cleaned around the clock.
What happens when the power goes off?
The mall's lighting runs on solar power: two 8 kW systems with 40 kW of battery storage.
Where does the water come from?
The mall has its own freshwater well.
Are there toilets?
Yes, customer toilets on the square, next to unit L-07. Both restaurant spaces have their own internal toilets.
Which spaces can I lease?
Shops on the lower level and two first-floor restaurant spaces: R-1 (180 m²) and R-2 (160 m²), both with covered and canopied terraces. The spaces free right now are listed in the "Lease a space" section.
What does the service charge cover?
Security, cleaning and lighting. It is KES 6,000 a month for a small shop and KES 10,000 for a large one.
How much is the rent?
